Rebuilding Identity, Reclaiming Strength

I was an eques­trian and physique athlete before I became a busi­ness owner 20 years ago. I ride a Harley, run multi­ple busi­nesses, and create scratch­board art and oil paint­ings with my hands.

But at 54, I felt frail. Not just tired—actually weak. And the fear set in: is this just what midlife is? Declining capa­bil­ity, increas­ing exhaus­tion, slowly becom­ing invis­i­ble and irrelevant?

I’d stopped appear­ing in my own photos years ago to avoid being visible—both phys­i­cally and online. The thought of show­ing up online felt impos­si­ble when I didn’t recog­nize myself.

I refused to accept it.

After decades of running my own busi­nesses while navi­gat­ing health chal­lenges, family demands, finan­cial pres­sures, and menopause, my strength and disci­pline had quietly taken a back seat to dead­lines, stress, and the real­i­ties of midlife. It happened so grad­u­ally I didn’t notice—until frailty felt like my future.

I started rebuild­ing my strength at 54, one small action at a time, and discov­ered that midlife hadn’t stolen my capability—I just needed a differ­ent approach.

As I turn 55 in February 2026, I’m launch­ing this coach­ing business—proof that trans­for­ma­tion does­n’t have an age limit and that midlife does­n’t have to mean decline… It can mean defiance.
