Rebuilding Identity, Reclaiming Strength
I was an equestrian and physique athlete before I became a business owner 20 years ago. I ride a Harley, run multiple businesses, and create scratchboard art and oil paintings with my hands.
But at 54, I felt frail. Not just tired—actually weak. And the fear set in: is this just what midlife is? Declining capability, increasing exhaustion, slowly becoming invisible and irrelevant?
I’d stopped appearing in my own photos years ago to avoid being visible—both physically and online. The thought of showing up online felt impossible when I didn’t recognize myself.
I refused to accept it.
After decades of running my own businesses while navigating health challenges, family demands, financial pressures, and menopause, my strength and discipline had quietly taken a back seat to deadlines, stress, and the realities of midlife. It happened so gradually I didn’t notice—until frailty felt like my future.
I started rebuilding my strength at 54, one small action at a time, and discovered that midlife hadn’t stolen my capability—I just needed a different approach.
As I turn 55 in February 2026, I’m launching this coaching business—proof that transformation doesn’t have an age limit and that midlife doesn’t have to mean decline… It can mean defiance.
