Cashew

5 x 7 pet portrait, scratchboard.

The scratchboard portrait I ordered of my cat was simply amazing.  It really captured his likeness and is so high quality!  The portrait was a gift for my spouse, who loved it so much he was on the verge of tears upon opening it.  It was also a really easy process with Sherry, and I would highly recommend looking to her if you are wanting your own pet portrait!  I’ve never given a gift that elicited such an emotional response and I am so glad that I had Sherry to guide this process.

Frodo, cat pet portrait. Oil painting on panel.

Frodo

5 x 5 oil pet portrait.

This portrait is absolutely amazing!
I’m so impressed with how good Sherry is! It doesn’t just look like our beloved kitty, it captured her spirit as well…loving and curious, with just a tiny hint of “One day, I will murder you in your sleep” in her eyes.

Frodo passed away a few months ago and it’s hard to look at the portrait without tearing up. I cannot reommend Sherry enough, by far the best pet portrait I’ve ever seen.

Pet Portrait Three Kittens

Liam, Lily, Soldier

Three 5 x 7 pet portraits. Pen and ink wash on watercolor paper.

The trio of kitten portraits were amazingly realistic. I still have to doublecheck the eyes since the details were so lifelike. I especially enjoyed how each image showed different head positions and captured their individual personalities. Even though Sherry worked on these independently, it was almost like she planned the layout in advance. I was able to frame them in one long frame and they looked so good that my framer asked for her contact details! I definitely recommend Sherry’s services to anyone looking to capture a near photo quality memory of a beloved pet.

Oil painting pet portrait of Great Pyrenees, Kex.

Kex

5 x 7 oil painting on archival Ampersand panel.

This is an outstanding portrait; realistic in subject and setting, capturing both the essence and nuance(s) of my Great Pyrenees, Kex. Not merely a depiction, but more of a representation of both his statuesque physiognomy, as well as his noble, yet playful character.

Through subtle touches of light, shade, shadow, color and position, his features are brought to vivid view in ways that convey so much about the spirit and demeanor of my beloved dog.

The style is classical, reminiscent of the English and American schools of the mid-nineteenth century, with a notable current emphasis upon actual, rather than interpretive realism.

Simply put, this fine work serves as  the visual centerpiece — and frequent conversational focus of those who enter —  my study.
