About Sherry — Creative Strategist, Content Coach, Artist
In her first career, Sherry trained young horses until a respiratory illness in 2005 led her to transition into editing, design, and publishing.
She pursued graduate studies in anthrozoology, behavioral science, and animal welfare, which deepened her commitment to scientific communication and reinforced her belief in the power of publications to shape guidelines and policies that affect our world.
Over the next 15 years, Sherry honed her expertise in editorial work, design, digital imaging, production, and book publishing. She collaborated with international publishers such as Cambridge University Press, Springer Nature, and Taylor & Francis and headed the publishing division of a science and technology research institute. She has advised and assisted several prominent public figures in producing and completing their books.
Today, Sherry works directly with authors and solopreneurs to refine their content, develop clear and compelling messaging, and shape creative brand strategies that align with their vision. She continues to edit and design reports, websites, and publications—and especially enjoys the one-on-one collaboration that helps clients strengthen their voice, clarify their ideas, and present their work with confidence.
Her editorial, design, and production work has supported contracts and deliverables for the Air Force Research Lab; Department of Health and Human Services; DoD/DARPA; EU Human Brain Project; Executive Branch of the U.S. Federal Government; Global Forum on Cyber Expertise/World Bank Digital Development Partnership; ISC2; NASA; National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine; NATO; National Science Foundation; Sandia National Laboratories; USAID; and the World Wildlife Fund.
Sherry approaches each client and project with respect, care, and appreciation. Her professionalism, discretion, strong interpersonal skills, and sense of humor sustain her work with international authors, publishers, educators, public figures, and colleagues across diverse disciplines, specialties, and stages of their careers.
In addition to her creative strategy and content development work, Sherry offers paintings and illustrations through her professional pet portrait commissions.
